Pantheism is a reference to believing in all gods. Pan means multiple, theism means god or gods. The Pantheon in Athens, Greece, was a Temple to every god in the Greek Religion. The word Pantheon was taken to mean the whole panopoly of Gods in a religion (i.e. The Hindu Pantheon, Greek Pantheon, Norse Pantheon, etc.).

So if he's a Pantheist, he worships many gods (the literal meaning of Pan-theist), perhaps a reference to the fact that he likely has reverence for all religions of the world (the non literal meaning of the word). A pantheist, non-literally, is one who acknowledges the good all religions do to their adherents, and doesn't claim one is better than the other.

kristal and novangel got it right.

it's not believing in multiple gods. pan does not mean "many," it means "all" (poly means many). it's the belief that everything is equal to god. the universe, nature, and god are all one. and god is all of these things. it represents an idea of equality while still maintaining a belief in some sort of higher being.

Pantheism is the worship of many gods, as opposed to monotheism which is the worship of one God.
