Just this: How safe is Limewire? Possibilities of getting a virus or other malware? And can people use limewire for data theft?

Limewire is not very safe at all. There are many viruses and cable companies keep a close eye on what is being download. So if you're downloading music or video illegally, you can easily get caught.

Use bearshear I have for a while and I use Trendmicro as a virus defender and it will let me know if a file is corrupt and gives me the option to download or not. Plus lava soft is a free adware and spyware that works great to detect and remove.

I would'nt go with limewire. the chance of getting spyware is very high.

ive used limewire for ever and had no problems.. i guess you just have to be careful.. to me its safe.. but the other comment thinks not..

Viruses are common and they can be hidden within other programs. If using it, you need a good anti virus program.

HI well i have limiwire on my laptop and it seems that it gave me a virus so i wouldn't recommend it!!
