You feel like parents don't understand you, only in reality, they do, but teenagers forget their parents were teenagers once and know exactly what they are going through.
Some people get rebelious, others focus on their work.
It's different for everyone, but in the end, parents do know what they are talking about and it will seem like an epiphany when you turn 21 and are no longer a teen.

Well it differs for the teenager. I have always been considered very emotionally mature for my age so I feel like I am growing from the experiences I am discovering about how our society works. Being a teenager is about learning about relationships. Being a teenager is like pulling out a piece of candy from a bag without looking, you get something new almost every time. You can pull out something sour and sweet, but no matter what you get you taste it.

Mixed emotions. One minute you are up, one minute you are down. Sometimes there are concerns about your sexuality. Parents often don't seem to understand. If you are in love all is right with the world, in you fall out of love it is the absolute end of the world. You then feel low and feel life is not worth living. Clothes mean a lot to you, certain songs will remain with you all your life and brings loads of memories, good and bad. If you get a spot your world has fell apart, best friends can hurt you over boys/girls, the sensible bit tells you studying is essential but you just wish to get out there and LIVE. Parents know nothing, you think they have never been young and the thought of your parents 'doing it' totally repels you. You are unsure when it is the right time to be sexcually active...........hold on until you are absolutely sure and NEVER have unprotected sex, no matter how anyone tries to sweet talk you. Remember drinking laws, when of age (know it's 21 in USA but not everywhere) drink in moderation, drinks can make you do all sorts of idiotic things and you can end up getting yourself a bad name. However grab every second of your teenagers years and relish, good or bad you will remember them all your life.

well, you tend to disagree with your parents a lot and want more freedom and trust so tht can be a bit annoying and deppressing, but then you are also learning and being able to get more freedom gradually and go out with your friends more etc. its gr8 to mess about and have fun with your friends. however its different for all teenagers. i quite like being a teenager :-) and i have a good relationship with my mum aswell whereas some peolpe cant stand their parents. im happy and am learning new experiences. i think its quite tough being this age but you have some of the best times during your teens :-)

Being a teenager is...... very complicated, We have mixed emotions we can be happy as happy can be and then the next minute you will see us sitting on the floor crying our hearts out.
Emotions make us all different and for some people lov being a teenager but for others they can hate it,
Hope this helps ;]

Being a teenager is the best and the worst.
I'm 16 and although I can complain for hours on end about how horrible my life is, it's not all that bad. I love living for the moment and having fun while I still can! :)

fun and stressful.. I'm 18 and I just went for my first interview and that is pretty important and stressful in itself... So the younger teenage years are loads of fun then gets more stressful and all as you approach the older teenage years and all..

Well very annoying some times but there are really good times to being a teen you have like more freedom You find your real friends that accept you for who you are you find out what style you want to be but the only down side is school like secondary school it gets harder and plus all that homework and getting closer to adulthood

Oh my god, let me think way, way, way, back into my future and remember. It's invigorating, tiresome, angst ridden, freeing, confusing, uncertain in most areas, certain in others, it's feeling that only you know the truth, parents and older siblings know nothing, no one understands you yet when you look back on it the best time of your youth. Not quite a child and no where close to being an adult. Enjoy it while you can.
