Shaving it off is probably as good as anything, rather that prolonging the falling out. It won't hurt physically. And it's definitely OK to cry, either about losing your hair or about all the rest of the things that are happening to you.

If it's 10" long or more, you might look into donating it to an organization like http://www.locksoflove.org/

Good luck with everything

Gee that's a tough one, well you could letit fall out, but then you'll be left with patches in your hair and that doesn't look good. So the next best thing is to just cut it off or shave, whatever and let it grow back fresh. If you are not so hot on going bald. Wear a wig, they are hot now days. Yes it is ok to cry about it.

Do what you're comfy with. Many people have their heads shaved & wear a ballcap if you're a guy or a wig, hat, or decorative scarf if you're a gal. Getting ones head shaved does not hurt & just remember, it will grow back & in some cases, I've seen it grow back in thicker than before. Sure, it's okay to cry about losing your hair. You're allowed. It'll be okay. :)

Of course its ok to cry about it!
it wont hurt to shave it if you use the right clippers. if you let it fall out it will probably fall out unevenly, but you can wear a hat or a wig. And dont worry, when your cancer is in remission your hair will grow back healthier than it was before ; )

It IS okay to cry about it! When I went through chemo (ovarian cancer 12 years ago) I decided to shave it all off immediately. I was proud of my new look and my best friend also shaved her head with me! I then attributed the new hair growth to part of the new beginning of my new life. (That and my first tattoo on my rump!) I'll say a prayer for you that you find comfort in this decision too!

Yes it is okay to cry about it! It shouldn't hurt to shave. It will need to be cut close though. Actually, you might just want to get some hair clippers, and set it on the closest setting. That way you won't risk any cuts from the razor.

I hope you get better.

If you want your hair to grow back soon it is best to shave it all off...because the time u spend letting it fall out it could already be growing back. Plus if you let it fall out you will probably have patches in your hair.

shaving your head does not hurt. id say its better to shave it off when it starts to fall out, because otherwise it will fall otu in clumps and having random bald spots, will look way better than being fully bald. just get yourself some cool hats and scarfs, and remember...hair does grow back.
