She was feeding this before the recall. I know this food looks really good and the comany says it is the the best on the market. I want to know but is it really. When dogs eat this food and die of starvation that is what happend to my friends dogs. Yes, she does feed them, they have self-feeders.

I know a lady who keeps up on this stuff she is a consumer advocate and my dog cannot eat it either due to the fact that he has an allergy and now i have him on california naturals that is a hollistic food . if you want more info please email me . I will be glad to give you the ladies phone number and name and she will be glad to tell you all about it . good luck .

Here is a list (from the Royal Canin website) of foods that have been part of the recall:

Was the dog food directly implicated in the deaths of the dogs? Were necropsies done?

I use the Royal Canin for Large Breeds, I have three dogs and I buy this brand as it is best for my Lab who suffers allergies, other foods make it worse for him, my other two dogs a Bouvier and a Terrier X can eat anything with no allergic reactions.

Royal Canin Dog Food was one of the brands recalled for having melamine in the rice gluten - a potentially toxic substance for pets. Go to http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/petfoodrecall/ for more information

I have used it and actually my dogs did excellent on it. Even the one that had problems with every other food on the market. Royal Cain only recalled some of their Vet foods and an all natural balance.

They probably didn't die because of the food...Royal Canin is one of the best on the market. My dog's coat is very shiny and full and he's been eating it since birth.
