if they practice gluttony, I would think that is one of their sins...

I personally don't believe in a LITERAL hell.

There is a difference between gluttony (one of the Seven Deadly Sins... which has nothing to do with the Bible) and the actual 10 Commandments.

Now if God had written: "Thou shalt not stuff thy face with Big Macs", then maybe a Christian would be justified in answering "yes". :-)

Even if you consider "fat" a sin, (I think some would argue) sins do not keep anyone from Heaven. We as Christians believe Jesus already paid for those sins. Why is this concept so hard to comprehend?

Ah yes... gluttony... If I may slip into "Christian-thinking" mode for a sec here....

*AHEM*

Gluttony refers to over-indulgence of sinful pleasures, not the intake of food for sustenance.

How was that? Sound Christian enough or did I over do it?

If they do then about 90% of American Christians better be prepared for some flames.

***EDIT/UPDATE***
Please disregard the person's comments about sins not keeping you from heaven because Jesus paid the penalty. This is not Christian doctrine this is libertianism.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER (Not fat, not skinny people, ANYONE) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You don't go to heaven or hell because of your weight.

I hear the door to Heaven is a certain width, if you don't fit in you don't get in
