If the scars are from acne, Accutane will remove the scars. They did for my son who was covered in scars all over his body from acne. If the scars are from burns, you should try Vitamin E both inside and out. Put it on the scars, and take it internally, at the same time. What has your doctor recommended?

Babe,
Use a skin bleach cream like ambie or skin success. You can find these products at your local drug store like Walgreen's, Rite aid or Bartel's. Follow the directions very carefully please because I've known people with dark skin that had either scars, blotches or spots on their face use the bleaching cream all over their face causing light discoloration spots. So read and follow the directions. If after a month it's not improving your scars, then try calling your local estitician. They can recommend a micodermabrasion for you, which is pretty cheap like seventy to one hundred bucks, and it's well worth it. I should no, I flew down to the Bahamas and was snorkeling in the water I cut my leg on a coral reef, I got back home got micodermabrasion and the scar is gone, you can't even see it. Good luck. Peace Brownies

Until the scar turns white stay out of the sun as a sunburn on the new delicate skin can cause it to be permanently red.

Use Mederma on it religiously. Per the instructions.

If the scar is wide, you might to consult a plastic surgeon to have the width of the scar reduced. Then follow her/his instructions to the letter to have a good outcome.

You could try Strivectin-SD. Its formulated for stretch marks, but a lot of people use it on their face for scars, blemishes, spots and such. It's a little spendy, but works like a charm. You could use try geting chemical peels, or laser peels by a dermatologist or esthetician in a skin care clinic or spa.
