I know several books of the Bible have been left out for various reasons. How many new books have been discovered in the past several hundred years? What were the names ?

Seven books were removed from the Holy Bible by the founders of Protestantism - from their own version of the Bible that is. The full Bible, with the same 73 divinely inspired books originally assigned to the Canon is still available in any Catholic bookstore. Any texts other than these 73 , and there are at least a hundred of them, are not Scripture, never were part of the Bible, and never will be.
