Mayweather is a horrible boxer. He did almost no boxing in that fight. I saw him back peddeling the whole time and every once in awhile he saw an opening and connected. Sure he hit De La Hoya, but he never hurt him. Not sure if you saw the right side of Mayweathers face after the fight. Starting to swell up pretty good. Wonder why they wouldn't show his ribs. I am sure they were bruised pretty good from De La Hoya punches. You knew almost immedietly how the fight was going to end when all the announcers were saying how good Mayweather was, then they dry humped Mayweather throughout the fight. I agree that Oscar needed to get in there and do more, but I also think he did enough to win the fight. Mayweather just ran the whole freakin fight and it was pissing me off. Contrary to what people say, running is actually NOT boxing. I'm not saying he should have stood there and taken punishment, but he could have done something besides running.

There was a brief dispute about the scorecards. Mayweather had the Mexican trunks on. I saw it as a sign of disrespect, but reports are saying he did it to get the crowd behind him. Whatever. Mayweather's own father said DLH pressed Mayweather enough to get the win! Mayweather is saying he's going to retire, which is soo stupid. At least DLH will get more money, about 25 million. Mayweather will get about 10 million. Hoping for DLH vs Mayweather II. If not, Shane Mosley should knock him out. Mosley is hoping to fight Mayweather in the fall if Mayweather drops down to welterweight.

I hate boxing now! De La Hoya should have won-at least he was trying and not dancing around the ring like a fairy!

It was simply the biggest waste of money for a pay per view ever- we had a bunch of friends over and the pre fights sucked so bad that we switched to the NBA game.

A very disappointing fight and I hope boxing goes down in flames- I will watch UFC from now on!

the rationalization that one of those tremendous form of folk imagine Oscar received is because he pressed the action. one project about boxing is the guy coming ahead isn't the guy it really is prevailing the round nor the wrestle. Boxing tournament's are scored on sparkling punching, effective Aggression, Ring Generalship, protection,. Floyd had the sting in all of them except ring generalship. His protection became more effective Oscar in hassle-free words landed 122 punches out of 587 it really is 21%. So if he wasnt landing punches his Aggression became ineffective. He became throwing alot of punches yet lacking merely because the replays and compubox stats educate. once Oscar stopped making use of the Jab he gave the wrestle away. a number of the failings I study on differnt forums and internet web pages about Floyd Mayweather is so infantile that i quite get the effect that one of those tremendous form of folk hate him and choose him to lose they are going to make up any excuse. The wrestle with Oscar choose as exciting as i presumed yet he received extremely sparkling. the significant reason that persons didnt opt to work out the rematch became becasue it became evident Floyd one the first wrestle. I dont understand what wrestle you've been gazing some circumstances human beings have a tendceny to computer screen the fighter and under no circumstances the combatants (both adult males) and then say "oh he became robbed".

You people are a joke!!! De La Hoya got beat its that simple u cant win a fight if u cant land clean, affective punches!! yeah the shots he did land affected Mayweather but Oscar was too scared of the right hook counter punch to keep throwing the left jab!!! if he would have had enough balls to keep throwin it than yeah he may have ended up winning the fight

That is all true. DeLaHoya did tire in the last 4 rounds...It should have been a draw and next time Oscar will use his jab the last 4 rounds and put Mayweather on his culo in the 11th.

well either make a 2 time loser lose on his national holiday or make a undefeated AMERICAN champion lose for his first time on a Mexican holiday? which was the first questions for the judges. yea maywhether danced around like a Peacock. all noises and colors but with no affermative actions. he disapointed me. oscar in the other hand did also. he trained amogst the best of the world and he didnt have the power to knock out that talking monkey...dang disapointing. yea Oscar though every round twice or more punches but not landing much. he got wat you called over excited. he underestimated the speed and stamina of Mayweather...it was a POODLE fight compared to a pittbull fight...get the picture. oh yea PPV can i get a refunD? lol

Winning is not based on what a fighter claims before a fight. I was rooting for de lahoya all the way and have to admit I was stunned one official had him ahead on his card. I think it should have been unanimous for Mayweather.

DLH should have knocked him out. He was the larger fighter. He simply was out-boxed by Mayweather. I'd go into more detail but I have to go and collect my winnings.
