Yes I have.
From a psychological point of view it can also lean toward mass hysteria.
All faiths began as cults. Look up the defintion of cult. Most of them started off as radical thoughts, against governments. It was following the word of one man, just as people followed David Coresh or how ever you spell his name. Over time it became widely accepted and turned into an organized religion.

By this post you proved you know absolutely nothing about religious beliefs and stockholm syndrome.

By the Way, I was raised by Atheist's and I chose Religion on my own at an adult age.

Because I had a real experience with God. I didn't just read a book (Like you must have)

Many people raised with or without religion, find it on their own. So your idea or research is a real waste of time

edit: I did read it fully. Stockholm syndrome is something that happens to people in unfortunate events, It's actually more of a "survival" technique, if you really know anything about it.

Religion is completely different, and It's something people do on their own.

Also some people might use, that their parents were religious. However if you really look at stats, you would see that alot of people rasied by extremely religious families turn away from religion.

By comparing the two, In my eyes, That would be making religion something that happens unfortunatly, and that I do not agree with.

Yes it is true. People in general go along with whatever they are told continually.

The difference in the True religion is that it is based on knowledge, understanding and reason. That will not be so easily changed.
