not all born again christians
but i think some do because i guess they feel that they are supposed to. that if someone believes something different, that person is automatically "wrong", and needs to be corrected
tearing down another faith is not christ-like in the slightest though

I think you'll find that the majority of the Born Again Christians that like to do this happened to have had led a screwed up life before they converted. They were arseholes to begin with or drug-addicts whose addiction has already screwed up their personalities too much etc. etc.
The effort to tear down other people is a sociological aspect. They're still insecure about their own belief and they tear other people's beliefs down, ridicule it, mock it, attempt to convert others to their own.
It's because to them, their conversion was a blessing. Their lives may have improved and they believe other's lives would too. What they don't realise, however, is that many non-Christians were nothing like them when they did not accept Christianity. Many non-Christians live quite good lives without the need for Christianity, but they don't realise that.

I feel that born again Christians are trying to do what they are suppose to do as soldiers for Christ, but I believe that being of the "flesh" they make mistakes and can break the fine line of judgment. I honestly believe they mean well . If not then they are in the wrong because only God is to Judge. But when a "born again christian" tears you down tell them about it ,chances are they are just being human and truly do have a love for people and want to see a change in someones life for the betterment of Gods Children. Doing Gods work gives more rewards to lay at the foot of Jesus. Everyone needs to forgive just as Jesus Forgave us. God Bless!

If they were TRUE Christians they wouldn't. The role of a Christian is to up lift non-believers and share the good news of the Lords blessings. Their life should be an example of his love and mercy working through them. Which interns leads you to seek the same life. We are all born in sin and we are all sinful (whether you are born again or not). We all must pray for forgiveness for past sins and start each day striving to be better than the day before. Being born again simply means you have made a commitment to turn you life over to God, be obedient to his word, and watch him do great works in you. I does not mean you are perfect or that you will never have trials, and it definitely doesn't mean you have the right to judge others. I apologize for you having to experience something different.

It's wrong to do that. I think that the other person summed it up the best. As Christians, we are to build one another up, not tear others down. We share the gospel not to tell you that you are going to hell, but in hopes of warning you to stay away from something we consider a very real danger. What we want instead, is to share this in a way that will convince you to give God a chance to work in your lives.

I am a born again Christian & I don't tear down other people. But I will shine my light in all dark corners & one way is by writing the truth that contradicts a lie.
The Truth sets people free. Fear & lies are what keep people in bondage.

What's with the constant generalizations from people? Have you truly met every Born Again Christian?
I am one and I feel everyone has a right to their beliefs, do i think mine are correct, Yes of course I do, or I would not believe in it.
I have made a personal choice that has enriched my life, and I do think that it would enrich others lives as well. But it is a choice someone has to make, not be forced into.
I do not bash people of other religions, Faiths, race or sexual preference. I believe that Jesus wants us to Love everyone, and that we are not to judge others.
I am far from perfect, but I try and respect everyone.

I am a born again believer, and I pray that I do not tear someone down. However that does not mean that I will not share my faith.
