Westminster Abbey has crowds and crowds of people and often stopps them for a moment of prayer during their tour.

But it mentioned no Bible verse, does not mention Jesys.
Mentions the father hood of God and the desireablity of light but makes no attempt to keep that other than ambigous

why is that? and is it Biblical or in line with a Christian confession

I attended one of their Sunday services just a few weeks ago, and they mentioned Jesus quite a few times.

I think you may not have complete information on this one...

Unfortunately Westminster Abbey changed management a few hundred years ago as a result of government persecution of the true church.

The true church can now be found a few hundred yards up the road at Westminster Cathedral. You will hear Jesus' name mentioned there all the time, and the people in the building come to pray not to gawp.

I can almost guarantee that someone took offense, and the name of Jesus was removed. They probably cited the fact that people of all nations and religions would be visiting. Therefore, to not offend anyone's beliefs, for the sake of tolerance, (gag), they should remove all references to Jesus and the Bible altogether.

In these days of "politcal correctness", where you don'd dare do something because it might offend someone, some places will not permit groups performing to mention "Jesus", but they can "God". Have run into this with the "acting" company that my wife and I run.

because the church of england is run by the royal family and they probably think acknowledging any other spiritual authority is beneath them
