I got arrested last week because of someone who scammed me, & they thought I was the one who forged a bad check. I didn't.

The check-cashing lady who called the police on me called my house today & said, "Are you still associating with that scammer? Because if you ARE, then you're going BACK to jail, & I'm calling the police."

I'm not associated with that scammer anymore. No one would want to after what happened.

This check-cashing lady does not get to choose who goes to jail or not. The police choose who to arrest and the D.A. decides on who gets charged.

Don't worry about her. I hope you got everything straightened out with the police. I know it hurts to be taken advantage of that way.

If the check cashing lady calls you again tell her you will report her to the police for harassing you.

She can't put you in jail. There would have to be another crime or you would have to be convicted of the last one. If she calls again tell her you will call the police yourself and report her for making threats.
