Ever notice that everybody tends to care about offending everyone BUT Christains?
It's a holiday tree, no, it IS a CHRISTmas tree. why say X-mas? Its CHRISTmas. and the list can go on and on. I personally find it offending that no body seems to care if my sensabilities are injured while trying to appese some one else's. So why has this become the norm?

Well, by your own examples you are completely unconcerned with offending the pagans who had the holiday first.

So perhaps now you can see the problem?

Firstly, no offense, but that is kind of petty if you care that no-one says Christmas tree. You should be grateful that that is your only religious problem. Have you ever thought about how Muslims feel when the entire nation is accused of being terrorists.
Secondly, the reason for this is to make it feel like a special holiday for people who don't celebrate Christmas.
It's not such a big deal, why are you making it out to be more than it is?

"It's a holiday tree, no, it IS a CHRISTmas tree. why say X-mas? Its CHRISTmas"

Actually, it's a Yule tree, and it was Winter Solstice/Yule before it was Christmas.

There are several holidays that fall around midwinter - why should it be all about YOURS, especially when your holiday has adopted so many symbols and rituals from other religions in the first place and called it "yours"?

Can you explain exactly what a decorated evergreen tree has to do with the birth of Jesus in a stable in Bethlehem?

There are more religions in the world than just Christianity. Deal with it and move on.

The abbreviation Xmas originated with the Church. Your ignorance of this is irrelevant.

I call it a Christmas Tree, but I don't care what ti's called, its origins are pagan and have nothing to do with some little brat in the Judean desert.

As far as Christmas, you stole it and we're taking it back. And you can't have the Ham dinner or the decorated trees or the mistletoe or the eggnog or the snow or the reindeer or anything else. You get sand and fig trees and the slaughter of all the children near Bethlehem and that's it.

Have a good time with them.

I understand what your saying, and I agree with it 100%. There are double standards for everything. I'm not raciest so please no one take offense. It's like having black history month, or that march that happens every year. We don't have things like that for white people. Is it wrong? Some people say it is, I really don't mind either way.
People fuss, they raise a little noise when things happen that they don't like. We as Christians don't really do all that. We either believe in something or we don't. I know I have a CHRISTmas tree in my home every year. I don't like it when people belittle my beliefs, It truly saddens me that my children are not allowed to pray at school. But you know what, I don't really mind if a store advertises holiday trees, cause it will always be a Christmas tree to me, I also think my children can pray to themselves if they want. Jesus is found in your heart, no one can take him away from us. People will always have different beliefs, and if they want to belittle themselves by trying to discredit my God, well then pity for them. God knows who his true believers are, and we shall be rewarded.

People in other parts of the world can be killed or arrested for their faith, and you're whining because of a tree or the fact that someone says 'Merry X-mas'. Stop being such a baby.

You haven't really read the Bible, now did you?

Your Bible specifically tells you NOT to get "heathen" things like trees inside your house during holidays like Christmas.

Your Bible states the trees were used in the Pagan celebrations.

With this question you just insulted all Pagans.

If you want to call it a Christmas tree, fine, no one is stopping you. Actually, I call it that, too, out of habit. But if someone chooses to call their tree something else, how does that in any way infringe on your belief or lessen your enjoyment of your celebration? Why should the way they want to live their life be offensive to you?

No, it's the Yule, and a Yule Tree. All these traditions are completely Pagan. Christmas is about as Pagan as you can get, aside from the name.

X is just an abbrev. for Christ. It's not meant as an insult.

Because Christians are unconcerned about offending atheists, Moslims, Hindus, Homosexuals (including homosexual Christians), Wiccans, scientists, evolutionists and indeed just about everyone else who doesn't conform to their narrow, blinkered and deluded way of thinking.

And the Christmas tree was borrowed from a pagan festival (it symbolised an erect male organ, just so you know what you put your presents under every year).

That's offending?
I thought Christians were supposed to be open minded about stuff like this.
