Is it water or coolant? Get the heater core checked.

If it is just from the AC unit, then check for a plugged drain line (coolant forms normally on the unit and the moisture is ducted to the outside - that little puddle of water you see under cars on a hot day when they have just parked).

Your drain line is likely plugged with soot, dirt or even a bug or two.

BUT..

if this is happening when the heater is running, then you may have a cracked or broken heater core. That is another problem. For that one you will need some ca$h since it is a major job to pull it out (been there done that).

good luck...

What model Volvo? My Mom's '95 940 was leaking a lot of water into the front passenger floorboard. Turned out to be nothing more than a drain hose (clear tube several inches long) that dislodged from the hole it fits down into to properly drain the water out. I simply poppled it back into the hole and the problem dissapeared. That was 2yrs ago. It's located near the firewall on the passenger side. it's very easy to see and reach.
