You're more worried about legalities than the safety of your daughter. I don't care what they did, it's legal.

If you opened the door it's the same as consenting to a search,
but if you didn't know they were there and you were on you way out and they waited for you to open the door and entered without your permission then it's not a legal entry.
If your mother has the lease in her name and you are under age then they might have valid cause. You may need to talk to a lawyer and don't talk to any body else includind your mom.
Go make an appointment with a public defender and tell them everything that happened.
Smoke weed outside, prefab your joints, and you can go to radio shack and buy alligator clips for roach clips and toss them if you see the man and eat your blunt.

If they were invited in it is legal. Especially since it sounds like tempers were high at that moment. The police have the right to secure their environment and check the rest of the house.
Yes you could spend all sorts of money on a lawyer and fight it. But your Mom could say that she came them permission or the cops could argue that they felt justified. And then if you fight the drug charge the judge will throw the book at you. Plus there was a kid in the house. Things could go wrong on so many levels.
Best to think more about other things. You could have huge fines, go to jail and lose your child. You Mom could end up with custody. If you keep smoking your mom could easily get you busted again.
Quit smoking.... go to NA and try to make peace with your mother. Then you might get a better outcome in court.

How did he get in if you did not let him in. You dont have to invite them in you just have to not stop it. It doesnt sound like any thing that was done was illegal because you didnt stop them. The law is broken when you tell someone no and they continue. If you open the door and step out of the way and they walk in and you dont tell them to stop, then the consent is assumed. The same thing inside the house. they can open doors and go where they want as long as you dont say no.

it depends on what your mom told the cops if they were lead to believe someone in the house might be in danger of being physical harmed then they have everyright to search (probable cause) if thats not the case i would have to say its illegal but prooving it will be impossible i mean whos gonna believe a pothead over a cop (I Would) anyway sry for your luck but keep on smoking and everyone who told him to quit go back down to the bar drink another beer and then get in your car and drive home like you do every weekend and leave us smokers be. Illegal or not on his part, you were doing something illegal. Not only that, but smoking that stuff in the house with your daughter? I think you should stop worrying about the cop who caught you, and start thinking about what's best for your daughter.

If i did associate with anyone that smoked weed I would make sure they didnt do it inside my home.....I wouldn't want to jeopardize my daughter like that....aslo....she must've told them more than the crazy thing because im not sure they'd go out just for that.....if that is all she told them and she knew you werent and you have proof maybe you should talk to her about filing false reports.....

I can't actually answer this for SURE, but I think because your mom is one of the owners of the house, it's okay for her to invite the cops in, and they can subsequently do what they want (with your parents' consent.) I think the only time it would be illegal for them to go into your room would be if nobody invited them into the house to begin with...they would need a search warrant.

If there is a child in the house, and you are under suspicion of possibly being abusive or putting the child in danger, then its probable cause. In your case, the police did nothing illegal.
