I have no problem with it. It is a matter of skin not the condition of your heart. It is of what is seen and God cares about what is unseen. It is a dedication to your belief ,which is positive towards God, and is a statement of your faith.
GO FOR IT. I personally will never get a tattoo, I just don't find the fascination with it. That is just me.

The word tells us not to tattoo or pierce ourselves. When you "mark" your body..you identify with the thing you have put permanently on your skin.
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
nor print any marks upon you--by tattooing, imprinting figures of flowers, leaves, stars, and other fanciful devices on various parts of their person. The impression was made sometimes by means of a hot iron, sometimes by ink or paint, and they are wisely forbidden, for they are signs of apostasy; and, when once made, they were an obstacle to a return to God.

One of the questions you should be asking yourself is wether marking your skin is what pleases G-d, even though you make it a representation of holy things, that won't make you holy, because it is written: that we aught not to be like the pagans in marking our bodies, but present your bodies holy unto the L-rd. Besides, it is Satan that seeks to mark a person or a person marks himself for rejecting G-d as Cain did by rejecting G-d's advise and G-d placed a mark on Cains forhead as a curse for his actions, as the scripture says that he will place a mark on the right arm and in the forehead [talking about those who go after the beast as he is called.]

Well, I'd say don't. Tattoos are generally graffiti on God's creation. The particular one you describe is additionally offensive because it glorifies violence. So, perhaps that's your intention? To offend? I'd say you will. But, unless you go everywhere without your shirt, there'll be minimal collateral damage. If you do go everywhere without your shirt, you may be offensive all on your own and the tattoo could actually be a deterant. Well, peace and good will what ever.

I think that it would be offensive to God.
He already gave us information in the Old Testament telling us that cutting and tattooing our skin is probably not the best thing for it. He told us in the New Testament that whatever we do to our bodies should be done to the glory of God... probably because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Put it together, brother. God doesn't want a tattoo of pistols across your chest.

Well, that was my thought, that it seemed to equate God with being a gun slinger, but then again... The Scriptures tell us that the Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword. So clearly God "means business" when He comes into town! :)
Perhaps you could have swords instead of Guns to represent the Word of God?
I'd just pray about how this will help you or hinder you as you serve the Lord through the ministries he places in front of you throughout your lifetime. Pray! I think this is between you and God.

For me personally, guns are too violent an image and have more of a negative connotation than a positive one. I see them as instruments of death, which isn't exactly what Jesus was all about. But for someone who has been in the armed forces or police forces or whatever, they might mean something else like protection of the weak. But I don't see anything offensive about it.

guns and God together bother me. If you want to use 2 swords that may be a bit more believable- because the Word of God is the sword. But I am not here to judge you , you asked our opinion.
