How do I know which religion is right?
This is a difficult question to answer because it involves discussing some principles that the person you are witnessing to may or may not agree with. For example, does he or she agree with you that truth is knowable, that God would attempt to communicate with His people, or that only one religion may be right? Usually, I start by acknowledging the difficulty of coming to an easy answer. However, I tell them that I do have an answer; I am sure it is the right one, because it is an answer based on evidence. What kind of evidence? Prophecy and its fulfillment (see question # 34), Jesus and His miracles, the resurrection of Christ, etc. Then I ask that person if he or she knows of these things happening in other religions.(1) The answer is invariably, "No." Then I point out that they have only happened in Christianity. If any religion were true, Christianity fits the bill.

The one that worships the Creator of the universe. He is the only one who deserves worship. Every other god is a poor shadow, some dimmer than others.
Of all books, the Bible is the only one showing reason and accuracy throughout. Other books claim prophecy but only the Bible has been so accurate.
The right religion would be the one following the commands and principles of the Bible. The simplest and most obvious would be using God's personal name.
Of course, that's not the only thing but, it is so DUH! Any group has a leader. Everyone in the group knows the leader's name and uses it regularly. To praise, to blame, to refer to. How could it be not true for the most important group of all?
The Bible, according to old manuscripts, show God's name over 6,000 times. The KJV has it four times, the most popular is Psalms 83: 18. That is Jehovah.
People say truth is irrelevant and pick one for you. Like the universe and everything in it should change for them! How conceited is that? I think I should be 160 lbs., in good health, with $80 million in the bank. I haven't noticed it happening. I don't want to pay my taxes for things I do not use. Good luck on that. To deny truth is living a lie no matter how much anyone would desire to believe differently.
We must seek truth. With an open questioning mind, most of us can find it.

Religion was invented by people. There is no right religion. I'm not saying they're all wrong, but they're not all right either. I'm a Spiritualist. I don't bind myself to a religion, I bind myself to God himself. I believe in Him and his love and I would never deny him. It's important to accept Jesus into your heart, that's true with any religion. Religion divides people, belief in something brings them together.

The only "right" or 'true" religion is the "religion" (or pursuit) of the truth.
But truth is a strange thing, as it can come from just about any source--even those who look, feel and act just the opposite of what we think we would define "a source of truth' as.
The problem isn't truth, the source, or a right and/or wrong religion, but our ability--or INability to discern whether 'a thing' is or isn't true.

Truth is relevant. What you believe makes it exist for at least you. It doesn't make more or less real to anyone else. And as long as you aren't hurting anyone then does it really matter? Religion is what speaks to your soul. Its makes you feel good, even if that's no religion at all. There is no right or wrong. Just whatever is right for you.
