I've seen no evidence that validates "immortal life" as an option... Hence, one can't 'choose' it.
That said, there are any number of fairy tales that suggest immortality. I haven't met anyone yet that can verify it...

It's NOT a matter of choice...
it's a matter of Creating a Relationship...
We, Humanity, are a Creation of an Immortal Being...
therefore, we are already Immortal !
but, we need to do the Will of Our Creator to accept Immortality - - -
Here's the Solution:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions

I don't know. I'd have to have more info about what an immortal life would be like to make that decision.

Even if I was given the choice, I would rather have a mortal life. I wouldn't want to watch as all of my family and friends move on to the next life while I'm stuck here. Besides, I'd want to be with God.

There is no such thing as immortality, no such thing as heaven and no such thing as god. Religious or not you will die, decompose and become part of the earth. Not being able to accept this is childish and unhealthy.

I chose to give myself to Jesus. In turn, he has granted me eternal life.
