I suggest that your wife is teasing the tourist kids with her me smashing pumpkins, as a tourist kid myself some years ago i remember her well and that funny dress she would wear, when she thought no-one was looking.

It means that they wanted to see her breasts. I'm sure that it was a crude form of a compliment.
