how would I add my step-fathers name to my birth certificate?

my birth certificate currently does not have a fathers name on it.

You could contact Vital Statistics in the state where you live and find out if they have a procedure that allows you to alter a birth certificate after it has been filed (although it is probably not likely). You may need to file a motion in Superior Court for the Court to order the change in the birth certificate. Good luck and God Bless.

does he want it put on? has he legally adopted you? those are things to consider. i don't think you can unless you're legally adopted by him. call your county's record dept. to know for sure.
