Allen makes good, inexpensive, and reliable racks. they mount to the trunk so you just strap it down to the back and use a bungee cord to secure your bike. i have the 3-bike carrier and i have no complaints so far and i use it quite often since i bought it early last year.

I have a Prius Classic with a Thule rack. It does fine thought he first time attaching it was an adventure. I have a Thule because I had a Thule with my previous car. I imagine Yakima makes a similar rack - both are on top of the car racks. They will reduce your gas mileage significantly (10ish mpg). The other option is the hitch racks that others have mentioned. If you have a local REI (or most bike shops should sell either Thule or Yakima), then you can buy them there. I have seen rack system in auto parts stores such as Checker, Pep Boys, Autozone, or Napa. The last link is a list of Prius related websites. Good Luck!

Check out the rear carriers from Thule. I've had the best experiences with their products. Dealers will have a fit guide which will tell you exactly how to set the rack up to fit your particular vehicle.
