How long have you been apart, is it more than six weeks. Do you have any co-incidental contact with him if you don't date him or have you been able to make a clean break. How does he compare to other guys, I mean the way you felt, were you naturally attracted to him? Did you feel relaxed with him? Playful? Was it an easy relationship? How long were you together? Did he cheat on you and you dumped him? Is he still seeing someone else or is he alone?
Ask yourself. Be true to yourself, your feelings I mean.

Consider that:
1. He really misses you and if you feel the same way, depending on what the circumstances were you can consider trying your relationship again.
2. He just wants to make you feel better about him earlier being a heel.
3. He is horny and hoping you will bite.
4. Well, I won't even go into the serial-killer scenario, but....nevermind. Probably just 1, 2, or 3---I hope for number 1.

it depends on what made your relationship not work, do YOU love him still? if so, maybe you should talk to him and tell him how you feel as well. if he did something horrible my suggestion is not to get yourself into another bad situation, but if you guys broke up over something that can be fixed then maybe it's worth a try but only if you feel the same way he does and you know his intentions are pure.

Well, you can force yourself to love him again, so try to make him understand that it's over for good, but do it very gently because if he still loves you he must be very sensitive about the question...

ask him the reason why he still does? i mean you should probably think about why he does and the meaning for it...then decided for yourself in how you still feel about him? Do you want to probably be with him again? really think about it before you decided anything
