Jesus is the only priest we need to mediate for us with God. If you have confessed your sins to Him and asked for His forgiveness, you are forgiven. What you are doing is asking Him to take them and then taking them back again. Leave them with Him. Believe in your heart that you are forgiven simply because Jesus said so and He is not a liar.

Why would you believe a priest could forgive your sins? Maybe you dont feel forgiven because you have not accepted your forgiveness from Christ...who is the only propitiation for sins

Your sins can only be forgiven if you ask for forgiveness. A priest will hear your confession and offer absolution and penance for your sins

James 5:16 Confess your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

You dont have ask a priest. The thing is the church has filled us with so much GUILT that we cant hardly forgive our selve. Thats the problem. Pray for yourself and forgive yourself and you will feel better and your guilt will go away.
Let me ask you a question. Did GOD need a priest to create this Universe? If you answered NO. Then GOD dont need a priest for YOU to pray to HIM. You take care of yourself FIRST. You'll never be any good to anyone if you dont take care of YOU. The damn priest has enough of his own problems( SINS ) he needs to take care of. Let GOD and you worry about you. Stay away from THAT priest.

You don't have to ask through a priest. If you are serious and are willing to turn away from those sins, ask Jesus to be your personal savior and you will be saved. Ask God to forgive your sins like this and its a done deal.

Jesus died for us, so that we may be forgiven. If you ask in the name of Jesus, you are forgiven. You do not need a priest.

For GOD sake. Do you really think there is a man in the clouds judging your every little action... and everyone elses on the planet. We are animals who are civilised. enjoy your life and live by your own morals, the common morals of society.. these come from religion but religion comes from people, we created it. Listen to your conscience.

It is because Satan, the accuser of the brethren, would love to have you believe that you are forgiven. I hope that these links will help. http://www.intouch.org/myintouch/exploring/bible_says/forgiveness/index_129486.html

Not everybody gets chosen by God. You see, apparently God cares what we think about him. For those that he chooses, he leads to him. Those that he does not choose can go their own way. God just doesn't choose everybody.

You can test this by asking yourself, " Do I WANT to come to God?" If the answer is 'no', then you don't have to worry about it. It's not in you to come to God. But if the answer is 'yes' , then I wouldn't rely on feelings to guide me, rather I would learn what it is to be truly Christian.
