Pastor Melissa Scott said in church that she wants the parents and everybody to pay attention so no babies or children allowed. There's no separate room for them either.

Your Pastgor Melissa Scott is false prophet.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mat 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Mat 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
Mat 23:18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
Mat 23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Mat 23:20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
Mat 23:21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
Mat 23:22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Mat 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Mat 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mat 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Mat 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
Mat 23:30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Mat 23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
Mat 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

Do you all have a church board or something like it?

Well, you all need to call a church board meeting, and tell this Pastor Melissa a thing or two about these wonderful verses that have been shared with you here.

If Pastor Melissa doesn't want to hear babies in the sanctuary, then provision needs to be made out of church funds.

All you need is a small cry room glassed in at the back of the sanctuary with soundproof glass and a speaker.

If she doesn't go for any of the solutions that may be presented (assuming that your church does not run as a democracy,) then either the people need to go, or Pastor Melissa needs to go... and I would sway toward Pastor Melissa, because the church is there to serve the people, not the pastor.

absolutely not! I would think twice before I sat under a female "Pastor" anyway because according to the Holy Bible a woman can not be a pastor, preacher etc. Read it in the Holy Bible yourself 1 Timothy Chapter 3 verse 2. It plainly says HUSBAND of one wife so how can a woman be a husband? Also read 1 Timothy Chapter 2 verses 11-13. If you are a true believer of the Holy Bible and what God asks of his children this should answer all of you Pastor Melissa Scott questions. I know women can be full of knowledge and even be teachers but God did not intend for them to be "Pastors". Hope this helped God Bless You!

Well...I can see her point. sort of.
I go to a church where the Holy Spirit comes in pretty mightily on our services.
The oddest thing - sometimes at the most contemplative, silent parts of the service...thats when the babies start. It can be disruptive. It would be like being in a contemplative silent moment and someone decides to rip one instead of walking out of the room. Same sort of thing.
But - if there's no separate room...that's a bit odd.

The Christ said "Suffer the little children to come to me", so that doesn't sound like a very Christ-ian attitude. Maybe you need a new church..... When parents do bring thier children to church though, they should be responsible to take them outside, if they aren't behaving, or there should be a room where they can listen to the sermon without a crying child interupting....

No, I don't think it is. Didn't Jesus say Let the children come to me? (something like that). I think God is a big fan of babies and children or he wouldn't have designed us to procreate. I wouldn't attend a church where my children weren't welcomed.

Jesus said:
Mark 10:14 Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of God.15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Mt 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Mt 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mt 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

Mr 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Lu 17:2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

I think this is a pretty good indication of what God wants. Particularly as if parents can't bring their children to church they will just stay away...and this will become a habit.

If you don't like it, don't go. No one's forcing the people to go.
