We, as Muslims, are to follow not only Qur'an, but also the ahadith which portray the Sunnah (way of) the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

And what is the proof that we must follow that which is stated in the ahadith? The proof is from Qur'an itself:

Allah has said:

"And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it) , and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Severe in punishment." (Qur'an 59:7)

And there are many verses in Qur'an that state we must obey Allah AND His Messeneger and there are even verses that warn against disobedience to Allah's Messenger:

"...and whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) will be admitted to Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise),..." (Qur'an 4:13)

"And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (SAW), fears Allah, and keeps his duty (to Him), such are the successful ones." (Qur'an 24:52)

"...And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger he has indeed achieved a great achievement" (Qur'an 33:71)

"And whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and transgresses His limits, He will cast him into the Fire, to abide therein; and he shall have a disgraceful torment." (Qur'an 4:14)

"...And whoever defies and disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then verily, Allah is Severe in punishment." (Qur'an 8:13)

"...And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error." (Qur'an 33:36)

"...and whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever ." (Qur'an 72:23)

This is all true about Hadith, it is the teachings of Muhammad. However, these are different since the Prophet has not made his followers memorize his every word like he did the Quran. They are more likely to be a bit off, so they must be used along with other texts on the same topic to get the full meaning.

33:40. Muhammad isn't the daddy of any of your adult adult males, yet (he's) the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has finished awareness of all issues. Ahmadies are made at a loss for words from the meaning of " Khaatam Annabiyyeen" - The seal of the prophets, it relatively is translated as, - A seal OR as - A rubber stamp this "rubber stamp" translation suits to Ahmadies , whether it may well be an offence to our cherished prophet Sall Allah o Elehe Wassallam.

It is impossible to be a Muslim and not follow the teaching of Holly Prophet (p.b.u.h.f).

If Mohammed(p.b.u.h.f) wouldn't have explained Quran through his(p.b.u.h.f) own actions we would not be able to understand it for surely Mohammed(p.b.u.h.f) himself is Quran-e-Natiq (The Talking Quran).
