how can i download a sound device for windows xp?

I had to wipe out and reinstall windows xp. Now I dont have a sound device or mixer. What is the easiest way to download these and the site. Does anyone know? Thanks

you cannot download the sound device.all you need is the driver for the device.windows recognises devices only after they are configured with drivers.here are the steps to config it.
1.)find out the manufacturer of the sound card.
or
if your sound device was coupled with the motherboard
you need to know the motherboard manufacturer n its serial no........................................................................
ex-------motherboard manufacturer -----------gigabyte ------------------------------serial no:-------------- 7vm333-rz

Go to your computer brand's website, and there should be a link to download updates and files for your computer. You will have to select what model your computer is, what version of Windows you are running, etc. The site will give you a list of drivers you can download and install.

Go the site of the manufacturer of the computer (or of the sound card if you purchased it separately). Look up the computer's (or sound card) model and they will have them available as a free download.
