Dear ones - I have some subjects on my heart I want to share with others to pray about... but I am afraid to broach the subjects for fear of rejection. ...So it made me wonder:

Is there a type of person you would NOT pray for - even when asked? WHY?

Is there a circumstance that you would refuse to pray for relief of? WHAT and WHY?

Example - is there an enemy you would not pray blessings for? Is there a person "in sin" you would not pray relief for when you think thier punishment is justified? Is there someone who has betrayed you that you could not pray forgiveness over?

If you needed agreement in prayer for a really hard subject - how could you present it so that others would understand that God's Will was being sought? ...I worry about causing stumbling blocks...

I look forward to your answers - and perhaps advice.
Peace to all who pass...

flind061 answered nondescript for me - Prayer is not an easy thing - it is warefare.

There is a man going to prison for a horrible thing... and I am wanting to commit to wittness... I just remember that some may stumble at the thought of praying for someone who has committed the crimes he has... it makes it hard to ask for agreement...

Jan - thank you hon. I dread enabling e-mail based on the trolls here at Y!A... I may open then close the feature.... hmmm...

Yes I think there are things that are difficult to pray about or people that are difficult to pray for. Certainly it is very difficult to put our flesh aside and pray for someone that we do not like or agree with. However, God wants us to pray unceasingly--yes, even when it's difficult. That is when are spirit is willing but our flesh is weak. He will provide you with the strength you need to pray. May He Bless you.

Nothing. I've learned when I don't want to pray, that's when I need to pray the most. I had some neighbor kids slash my tires just before I went on a mission trip and I prayed with all my heart for God to bless them. And in return I was blessed with the rest of the money I needed for my missions trip...And God blessed the neighbors right out of the house across the street.

I have started a prayer fellowship here on yahoo, e-mail me if you'd like to be a part of it.

I guess if a lost sinner came to me and asked me to pray for them over something worldly I wouldnt do it. Yet I would pray the Lord convict the persons heart so that they will become saved. Sometimes its not always best to ask others to help you pray for something that would be hard, because when the prayer is answered you will know it was answered because you prayed for it. When you know God answered your prayer it strenghtens you. Anytime I have ever prayed for someone who I think needs help over something I always pray as well God's will be done. Even if I pray for God to provide this something for someone it might not be God's will.

There is no thing to difficult for us to pray for. Jesus said," Love your enemys, bless those who curse you," why? Because we have been blessed and our enemies do not know what they are doing in life. And the Word of God says, by doing this with the right motive, you will heap coals of fire on their heads. They may invite Jesus into their heart. We never know. And if they are not worthy of these prayers, those same good prayers will come back to us. We have asked Jesus to forgive us for all our sins, and we must forgive others if we want Jesus to forgive us. There is none good, no not one.

Thank you
Always and forever

I have the same problem. I would say to try to overcome your feeling. Let sympathy crawl into your heart and think of the hardships he has probably endured. Think of him as a lost lamb that needs to be guided back into the fold. Then pray for his protection, or blessings. I overcame this obstacle and am now making amends. May God Bless You.†

Wow ,that is a great question.I have been hurt much and forgiven much. But I know how hard it is to really pray and reach God.Not the now I late me down to sleep prayers.
But really reach the throne room of God.It is a warfare,it is a spiritual battle. That will put the flesh under subjection .
It took me years to pray for the uncle who molested me.He was dead before I could. But as I prayed God spoke to my heart"Will you forgive me?" I was so shocked ,forgive God?
But that night My world changed,my savior was now my everything.Yes I will pray for all,but I pray and ask God how to pray for them.<><

I pray for everyone. I pray for my enemies as well as my family and friends. As far as enemies, I pray for God to have mercy on him or her because, like He said, no sin will go unpunished. There should be nothing so complicated or hard to go to God with. It's you and God. Nobody has to know what you're praying about. As far as sharing with other people about others you want to pray for, you don't have to tell them the whole situation. Just tell them those specific people need prayer and you would like them to help you with it. If they decide not to, then..still pray. God will answer but He'll answer on his own time.
Be Blessed..

hate the sin love the sinner, I know this is an old saying, but it still hold true,
Jesus spent most of his time with sinner, Jesus died for the sinners,
sometimes when we pray for those that we do not want to, it is what we need to do, healing comes from prayer, both for the one praying and the one being prayed for.
