John McCain did NOT target any civillians when he was shot down, he was targeting Military positions. A power plant during war-time is a legit target. John McCain DID NOT kill any "innocent" civillians. Hre was also tortured in "Hanoi Hilton"

Why think he was targeting civilians? If military targets were placed among the civilians, then that is the fault of that government, not ours. The U.S. does not target civilians. As a matter of fact, the U.S. goes out of its way to spare the civilians when at all possible. If the didn't do this, they could very well have less of their own troops injured and killed.
Geeze, go visit some other countries and see how much they value civilians...blowing up their own people to spread hate and discontent...you might like it better there instead of here.

In the aspect of war a power plant is a legit target. It is also a sad truth that in war civilians get killed, So get over it, go back to your class at some anti American college, and stop hatting on America.

Those of you who remember I am sure will see the same tactics (Discredit anything the USA does support anything the ENEMY of the USA does) we saw during Vietnam. It will be interesting to see if these lies win out over the truth this time like they did last time. Those of you out there who do not remember need to go back and read some of the lies spread about America and what it did in Vietnam. You will see the same lies being used today.

The people dieing in Iraq are being killed by the terrorists not the USA. Terrorists are using children to camouflage their murderous attacks. Where is the demand that these killers stop? Where is the concern for the innocents being killed by these murderers?

What values are you really professing?

Lets see, John McCain was wearing a uniform and clearly distinguished himself as a combatant with a military target in North Vietnam and he was shot down by a North Vietnamese S.A.M. missile battery.
mr atta slimed aboard a civilian aircraft in civilian cloths with the intention of killing as many innocent civilians as possible, how many did he kill?

My guess would be if he killed any civilians at all, which he probaly didn't, then they had no business being near a military target. We have civilians from all over the world here in Iraq and here where I'm stationed...and guess what? If any of them get greased it's thier own damn fault. Nobody told them to sign up for a job on a legitmate military target.

truthspeaker 10,

Do you have proof that WP was used on refugees in Fallujah? Were you there to witness this? If not, then I'm guessing that you are talking out of your a**....

John McCain is a hero who risked his life and spent many unpleasant days in Hanoi Hilton protecting the rights which so many americans take for granted. John will tell you his mission was to protect his friends and fellow fighting soldiers. In any conflict there is always some degree of collateral damage. Nobody wants to bomb innocent civilians. War is hell.

I think the better question would had been- why were so many military units staying close to civilian areas- were they trying to make the civilians casualties. Why was Mccain totured despite the fact that - the form of torture that he endured is outlawed by the international community but noone stood up against it?

No. He became attacking a defense force purpose (potential plant IIRC) and became informed to break off because the situations weren't acceptable. to boot to, the project with combating an insuregency (the Viet Cong were guerillas, no longer area of an good, nationwide military - like the forces in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, Somalia, etc.) is that persons who're on their part will oftentimes declare that deaths are "civilian" because the adult males weren't truly area of the defense force - even even with the truth that they were wearing rifles, RPGs, etc. The BBC, in the faster area of the 2d Intifada in Israel/Palestine, ought to record that Israelis killed were "Israelis" - adult males, women, children, each and every age. Hamas gunmen and bombers who were below two decades previous were suggested as "Palestinian youths," a useless ringer for six-three hundred and sixty 5 days-olds who were killed. acceptable there's a good, ripe get jointly of media bias and slant.
