I read the book 'Sunset Song' by Lewis Grabbon Gibbon. It is written with a version of Scots dialect. At the back there are 8 pages of translations.....some examples
rive= break, tear
shaws= leaves of potatoes
stour= dust
sholtie= pony
neb=nose
redd=tidy, clear away
rangy=lanky
rax=stretch
kittle up= excite,stimulate

there are loads but bear in mind some could be very regional to a specific place, so there could be different words in the highlands and islands.

Scottish human beings are British. perchance you're questioning that British human beings, and British accents, are English, which isn't the case. i could think of that attempting to study a Scottish accessory could be plenty extra troublesome. i've got seen many extra actors do a extra convincing American accessory, than i've got seen do a Scottish one. i can not surely think of of many who have carried out a sturdy Scottish accessory, and those are people who're especially knowledgeable and are used to doing accents.

Some hae meat, but cannae eat,
and some hae nane that want it.
But we hae meat,

And so the Lord be thank'd it.
