We find now that people emphasize more on diversity instead of Unity. Whereas Shirdi Sai and Kabir were foremost during those times when India was under British Rule to unite both Hindus and Muslims. They used to say 'Ram and Rahim' are One. Hence people from all religious backgrounds used to visit Saibaba to seek his advise and help. Why again there is rift in the minds of the above? Even Sri Sathya Sai baba now preach the Unity of all religions of the world. People have to eschew the bitterness and hatred and love all. Do you feel that people irrespective of religious beliefs love each other as brothers?

All religions teach the human to love thy brother-en. But we have lost the track, since the Britishers ruled us, under divide and rule policy. We have lost our mental balance. We want states in the name of religion, or particular area, caste etc. We are not Indians at all. Some like you and me may be, but not all. They are Punjabi, Maratha, jats,Tamils and so on. And if we as ordinary citizens love each other, the dirty politicians don't allow us. They scratch the wound which has healed to bleed again. Take the example of Babrimasjid. It was in 1992, and we are still paying the price of it.

Sorry to burst your bubble but if you take from the time of
Ramayan, Mahabharat down to present 2007 there has been
always war and it will always remain. The main purpose of
human birth was for god realization only so you cannot say
"hey stop the earth, i want to get down". You will have to
find your own master/guru who will guide you to escape from
this earth and attain liberation. All this strife in all religion
stems from people who manage them like priest in
christainty, mullahs in islam, bhatjis in hindus. They are the
main culprits who instigate their followers because of their
own inherent weakness. Do you know when kabir started
preaching both muslims and hindus starting attending his
satsang/lectures. At this both mullahs and bhatjis felt
threatened and they ganged up and complained to the
then ruler against kabir. Look at all this hatred that is
spewed on this religion and spirituality site by people who
were instigated by their respective religious head long
time ago and which they are still carrying it to spill it here
and elsewhere too. Ofcourse this doesn't mean you
should not be chivalrous or help others also abandoning
your family and running away is strictly no no. - that would
amount to COWARDICE. Cheers!

Bhakti movement was started by hindu saints while Sufi mysticism by Muslim saints in medieval India (1200-1700). Kabir immensely contributed to the Bhakti Movement and is considered a pioneer of Bhakti along with Ravidas, Farid, and Namdev. His concept of love as a path of suffering may possibly indicate, in some measure, a debt to the Sufis. These and other elements from Nath tradition, bhakti and sufism, kabir combined with his own mystical nature and produced synthesis which is the distinctive religion of Kabir. Tradition tells us that Swami Ramanand was his Guru (a teacher).

they said the God is one and only one . and worship is the faith, you can treat a stone as a God still you can achieve the God while the Bhagwan Sai baba and Kabir are like the Gods. i am a hindu but i also worship Allah because i know that the God is one and i have nowhere read in Hindu religion that go to Masjid or mandir for worship.it is your own faith how do you treat the God.i follow the hindu rituals but do not discriminate the Muslim rituals. it does not mean that they said Hindu and muslim should unite , is it practically possible. they also had given inspiration that one should follow their own religion and also it shows that one should respect others religion. also one should not confuse others about their religion.they helped the muslims and hindus both. because everybody is the son of the God.for God everyone is same.even if a hindu goes to masjid and worship Allah He will help him.

They tried like that but it resulted in emergence of a new religion, Sikhism.

Muslims believe, All is his (creation)
Hindus believe, All is He (the God)

Hindus believe in the philosophy of Wahadatal Wajud and Muslims believe in the Philosophy of Wahdatash Shahud. It seems almost same but at the same time great difference is there.
Hinduism is the religion, based on entire life or lives of an identity, within this world, by the series of birth-rebirth. But Islam explains the concept of "Aakhira" (hereafter). This is the huge difference that cannot be neglected.

So any try to merge two religions will give birth to another new religion, like Sikhism, but it will never solve the problem.

Only ONE man said about all people living as human beings.

That is SREE NARAYANA GURU. He was a great seer. He was a social reformer who stressed importance of education, trade industry for the development of society.

His words: One Caste, One religion, One God for mankind.

The stress here is on humanity, hence he used the world mankind.

I challenge all including god, to show such touching words in thier holy books. No religion has preached such a simple thing to humanity. Sree Narayana Guru uplifted many communities apart from the community he was born into.

I can say with certainty - seers like sai baba ,kabeer & Sree Narayana Guru and thier good work has done more bebfits to humanity than religions and thier gods and thier books.

Saibaba and Kabir were men before their times. Their attempt to lead humanity to one ( unity ) should be applauded and appreciated by all.

Kabir died at Maghar near Gorakbpur, and a dispute at once arose as to the disposal of his remains, which were claimed, by Hindus and Mohammedans, the former desiring to cremate and the latter to bury them. While they wrangled, Kabir himself appeared and bade them raise the cloth which covered the corpse. When this was done, it was found that the body had vanished, but a heap of flowers occupied its place. Half of these were burnt after the Hindu custom at a spot now known as Kablr Chaura in Benares, and the rest were buried at Maghar, which became the headquarters of the Mohammedan portion of the sect that still follows Kabir. They are named Kabirpanthis. A tomb was built there which was subsequently repaired about 1867 by a Mohammedan officer of the Mughal army. People also realised that this "Baba" was no ordinary person but a person with extraordinary godly powers.

Sai baba strongly believed in uniformity of religion and he never distinguished anyone on the basis of caste, creed or religion. He always made it a point not to return empty handed those who had come to him in their hour of need and grief. He performed miracles to alleviate the suffering of poor people. On one occasion he restored the eyes of a blind elderly and in another occasion he lighted a lantern with water when there was no oil to burn it.

These God men that descended to earth for the unity of humaity are and should be respected by all.

Listen to Jesus

The Bible John 10:33-35
They replied, “We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God.”
Jesus replied, “It is written in your own Scriptures that God said to certain leaders of the people, ‘I say, you are gods!’ And you know that the Scriptures cannot be altered.

People irrespective of religous belief should love one another, each other is all we have.

AHA.. beautiful question. God is one n his forms n names are many. all the creatures are his children. Saain Baba said: "sabka maalik ek". Kabir was a saint among the saints ie a Kohinoor among the diamonds.
sadly many people dont understand that God is one n he wants each to follow his own religion while respecting the others. Lord Krishna says: "even if one thinks that the others religion is superior, he must follow his own(the one that God sent him in by virtue of his birth) because he wil have the fruits of following his own religion only n not the others relegion".
unfortunate are those who dont see the same God in Allah, Christ, Naanak, Raama, lord Rishabhdeva and so on... if they love thier God then y r they agains the other form of that God n the other religion tht exists according to his wishes alone? they say: "without the will of God not even a leaf can move because of the wind"
I would like to tell u a story of my Guru's. my Gurus have sikh, christian, hindu and muslim followers as well. the Guru Gaddi is one of the Nath Sampradaya.i hope u undersand guru gaddi-like the sikh gurus sat after the other left for his abode. we have had 31 Gurus. very very very long time ago the Hindus and Muslims started fighting when one of the Gurus left for his abode.tht this Guru is ours n not yours. his "kamli"(a shawl that has divine powers) is ours n not urs. so there was a "AAKASHWAANI"-"IT BELONGS TO THE BOTH SO DIVIDE IT INTO TWO HALVES AND KEEP ONE EACH" my Gurujis temple is called MANDIR-DARGAH. though the majority of followers of his temple or place of worship all over the world are hindus we are used to reffering to it as "Dargah" n many people r surprised when any of us says: "we go to our Guru's dargah" he he... but our Gurus preach the SANATANA DHARMA n we follow the path of Guru's service n his instructions as well as the instructions in the holy book of dargah.
when people fight in Gods name i remember the lyrics of an old song-"tu hindu banega na musalman banega ,insaan ki aaulaad hai insaan banega" its important to believe in humanity first n only then one can b atru believer.

I don't think so. Hindus are peace lover however Muslim are against every religion around the world. Muslim vs Christian for hundreds of years, Muslim vs Hindus riots between them in India region, Muslim vs Buddist in Thailand region whereby bombing and killing of monks took place. Even those peaceful Muslim starts to create riot whenever Muslim killed, other people killed by them they treat it as nothing happened. It looks like Muslim the main bug that causes the world in chaos.

I'm even better than that: I wish that all religions of the world would live together in peace.

Ideally, somewhere else.
