you get out of the IRR when your time is completed . as i'm sure you know your total obligation to the military is 8 years , when your total 8 years in completed then you will recieve your discharge ( you currently have a separation from active service )

there is no way to get out of the total 8 year commitment. at the end of your 8 years, you will be out of the IRR, no fanfare

Do you just want totally out? Or do you want to go active?

If you want out completely, you let your contract expire and pray you don't get recalled before then. When you are out, call St Louis (army) and request your DD214 showing service.

If you want to go active or reserve, go see a recruiter with all your paperwork.

Do your time. You signed the contract, now honor it. Once your total 8 years is up, you will be a total civilian.
