It is so easy to go to the Lord with our cares and lay them down at His feet. . .the problem is too often we pick them back up thinking we can carry them on our own. Your sins/failures of the past have been forgotten and forgiven by the Lord. . .let them go. The devil will try to hold you prisoner of your past. . .but Jesus has already broke those chains. . .just look down at your hands. . .you are a free man.
None of us are perfect and it is only human that we struggle everyday. But, as you draw closer to the Lord, His direction will become clearer to you and the strength to follow will grow stronger. Lean on Him.
It takes a great humbleness and meekness to be saved, admitting we are weak. . .but through Him we are strong. May God richly bless your heart today and open your eyes to the freedom He has already given you. :)

The way I see it, God gave us intelligence so that we don't repeat mistakes. I know what kind you're talking about, as I've done something like it. But if God and Jesus forgave you, then you need to follow through and forgive yourself to make it complete. And if you find yourself facing the old man, keep in mind that he lives in the past, and you're living in the now. He can't cause you any trouble if you don't let him, you know. He's you, and he is part of you, but crucifying him won't work (trust me, I know). Instead, acknowledge that he's a past version of you who made a mistake, but he's not the you who lives in the present and won't make that mistake again. It sounds complicated, but it's easy once you wrap your mind around it; hell, if I can, anyone can. So the next time you face your "old man," tell him that he'd better crawl back under his rock, because his day ended a long time ago. Okay?

I once heard Kathryn Kuhlman teach on dying to self & how this is THE greatest struggle & yet the greatest victory once realized.
I've been living out of my old man for almost a year now. It SUCKS; when I know I am called for greater & more noble things.
I feel like I've lost hope. I've been asking for encouragement to come. I have no fellowship.
Nobody ever said this would be easy.

I fight this battle daily. We are not perfect and will not be until we are united with Christ in heaven. Until then we must daily seek forgiveness and mercy.
The memory of sin that has been confessed and forgiven is just Satan reminding you of your past when this happens you just remind him of his future and you will have a good day. It is fun to tell the devil that my sin is erased, forgiven and buried and I have a wonderful eternity with God to look forward to then I remind him of his future in hell where he will be totally separated from God .
We all must crucify the old nature every day. Ask God for forgiveness of weakness and for strength and grace to be more like Him so you can be used by Him. Remember you are not alone. You do not have to tough it out by yourself . Go with God. See you at the House.

There are things that serve as reminders, so this thing can be tackled. Look at Isaiah 57 and compare "zikrown" (memorials) of verse 8 with Esther 6:1. This is how people use writing. It is connected to (or can be) their appreciation of the "messages" that the physical environment and their family life is giving them as to how their luck's supposedly running, especially after the death of a righteous one. This is parallel to Matthew 14, where Jesus feeds the 5000 after the death of John the Baptiser. It was a miracle because Jesus convinced them to eat the food they probably already had with them.
In any event, check and see if there is anything serving as a memorial of pathos for you behind any of your doorposts (lips count - see Psalms 141:3). This could be holding you back and tying you down to ritualising your physical surroundings. Compare also Colossians 2:18. Building up ceremonies for yourself in order to properly receive messengers is not what it's supposed to be about. We need to listen to wisdom itself (Proverbs 8).

I encourage you to read the following scriptures daily:
DEUT 33:27 ,COL 2:15,2 TIM 1:7 2 COR 10:4 -15 ,We all become discouraged at times. We will pray for you. Draw close to God through reading the Word each day and pray. Kick the devils butt by rebuking the thoughts that come back . Give him no open door.

Everyone stumbles. Someone told me to look at it like this, which I found cool. Humans are like athletes in the Para Olympics. We all line up for the race any way we can, others having more disabilities than others etc. As we run, the onlookers mock us, laugh at us, even throw obstacles in our path to trip us, which in our state of disability, we often fall. But those that get right back up, and listen to the onlookers who are cheering for us, giving us courage, and those of who know that no matter what, they will finish the race and win, are truly Blessed. God expects us to fall down a lot, but we are imperfect, he does not expect us to run like a well tuned athlete. He expects us to finish the race, carrying his flag no matter how many times we stumble.

You're doing the right thing, man. Keep fighting the good fight. None of us are pure, and it takes a real man to admit it to himself. So when you think you are incapable of 'falling', remember that pride goeth before one, and fall you will. Just get back up and realize you learned a valuable lesson about humility.

Hello.
I believe everyone *must* struggle with themselves.
Take care and God bless.
It is the 'try' more often counted as righteousness, and *not* the success or failure.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7..........Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God. For just as the sufferings for the Christ abound in us, so the comfort we get also abounds through the Christ. Now whether we are in tribulation, it is for YOUR comfort and salvation; or whether we are being comforted, it is for YOUR comfort that operates to make YOU endure the same sufferings that we also suffer. And so our hope for YOU is unwavering, knowing as we do that, just as YOU are sharers of the sufferings, in the same way YOU will also share the comfort.
