:-)

I think there would be ethical problems with farming mice and sparrows to make into cat food - there's enough meat farmed for humans to go around! Plus, cats in the wild would eat salmon, tuna, rabbit, beef and the rest if they could get it!

If it was just sparrow-flavoured food, well who knows what that tastes like?

So very true. How many cans do you see on the supermarket shelf with brighly coloured pictures of mice and rats, baby rabbits and hares, slow galahs and parrots, snakes and lizards on them? (I'm in oz).

That's what our four cats like to eat from the great outdoors. They never, ever get to eat prawns in whiting mousse or duck livers in crab sauce. Unless it's from a can or a fancy little tub (if it's their birthday)!

You just made my hair stand on end!!

I happen to have pet mice and cats. Just had an image of myself opening up a can of catfood and looking at the baby mice neatly arranged in the can.

Think I'm going to be sick..

Sparrows are now endangered and there isnt enough on a mouse to go round.

If your cats wont eat the food you give them its obvious that they are finding there own food outdoors just buy dried food and keep there bowls topped up all the time.

They actually did...but cats didn't eat it, so they stopped making it.

Finding the right diet for cats is confusing.
