Maybe i haven't tried everything and thats why im here. Hoping that someone out there has an helpful suggestion or idea that i can try. I know some have been cured but not one thing works for the same person. its trial and error. Just a bit of information on what has helped others would be a good start. Thanks very Much Ann x

Ann, Psoriais is an autoimmune disease. Thus far, there is on going research, but no cures for autoimmune disease. As you say, what works for one person may not work for another. I use over the counter ointments and they can be of help. Auaphor is my favorite. I avoid soaps, except for essential places. I use Sebulux shampoo. The sun helps with many people, though I can not be in the sun. Sorry that I could not help more, but I have had this disease most of my life and my 2 children also have it.
Best wishes

About 3 years ago I had psoriasis on the soles of my feet and on the palms of each hand. My hands were so bad that I couldn't tie my shoe laces or button up my shirt, due to their swollen state.

After being prescribed a variety of creams and trying various 'alternative medicines', a skin specialist recommended (as a last resort) a chemotherapy pill named 'Methotrexate'. I sought a second opinion from another specialist and his recommendation was the same.

Two months into this treatment and the psoriasis had completely gone. It was like a minor miracle in my view, although the specialists did warn me that the psoriasis would return. Eighteen months later it did resurface, although not as severely as it had been in the first instance.

The side effects of "Methotrexate' made me nauseous and were quite unpleasant. Consuming alcohol while undergoing this treatment was not recommended, as was exposure to the Sun's rays.

What worked (albeit temporarily) for me, may not be beneficial to you, but little harm could come from asking the advice of a skin specialist with regard to Methotrexate treatment. I have personally decided to live with my condition as it's not too bad, rather than resort to the use of Methotrexate again.

Good luck in your quest for a remedy.

Annie,

Have you ever tried using any product from Arbonne?
I know of a few people who suffer and swear this helps.
From the mild body wash, to the swiss based botanical creams, to the sea salt scrub - to the vitamins for skin

Have you tried seeing a doctor? You talk a lot about alternative medicine, but not a lot about mainstream stuff. Why not give a dermatologist or rheumatologist a try?

Evening Primrose Oil, started taking it way back in 1998 and now it is starting to clear.
