I wish you had never had to go in the first place and I definately think you should not be there now. This is the most pointless thing we have ever done. I know there are innocent people there that need our help but could we not just get all the innocents together and ship them out of there then let the monsters kill each other if they want to? Let them ruin there own country. It is not our problem, never has been and never will be. Take care x

As the war in Iraq was illegal the allies have a responsibility to clean up the mess they've made. Granted they have removed an evil dictator but replaced him with a civil war that threatens to de-stabilise the whole region and Bush/Blair want us to believe this has been a success. Pulling the troops out now is not an option and it is likely that an allied military presence will have to be there for years to come.

US cannot be in Iraq for ever. The natives are against US forces.Best thing US can do is to entrust the Govt to a puppet regime and pull out. Some agreement regarding US rights to Iraq oil resources will take care of US interests.

I don't care what US troops do but I want UK troops to be out of there as aoon as possible.
Too many have died up to now & I feel that once Price Harry gets there it will escalate & turn into a blood bath. The Iraqis would be so happy if they could capture or kill a member of the British Royal family. I think that they will not bother finding out where he is but will attack as many British soldiers as possible in the hope of getting him. I fear the worst.

Yes.

Our presence is only inflaming the situation by causing mercenaries from all over Europe and the Middle East to travel to Iraq to fight the Americans.

Once we pull back to Afghanistan and other strategic zones, we will no longer be the lightning rod for these unwelcome mercenaries.

Like stitches, we've held things together to encourage healing, but now it's time to pull the stitches.

They were doing very well for themselves BEFORE the US Troops walked in and made a mess of things.
Women were working. Christians and minorities were safe and protected. There were no veils and hijabs. The Islamist cranks were in their holes.
Then the Burning Bush did a Moses and now when the heat's on, you want to pull out?
Sure, US Troops should pull out, but when and how is a very tricky question.
Mr Bush may have blundered in in good faith, but it's loss of faith worldwide and loss of face he'll have to deal with now.
It's really tragic for patriotic Americans whose kids are serving in Iraq, caught between the horns of a moral delimma. My sympathies are with all ordinary Americans.

`Gradually.. a complete withdraw would leave Iraq shattered as they are not fully stable . The stability needs to be achieved, as it is being and slowly. Then ease off the troops in that area.

No, that's too easy.

We've created a hell on earth for those people, we can't just walk away whistling with our hands in our pockets and let them clear up our mess.

That said, the problem can't be solved militarily, it needs diplomacy and it's a long haul. It's going to mean talking to people we don't necessarily like. Well that's just tough, we owe it to the people of Iraq whose lives we've destroyed.

These people have been killing each other since the beginning of time and will never change, it`s in their mentality. They smile at the troops then behind their backs plant bombs to kill and maim, they kill their own people ffs!
So let`s pull out the UK/USA troops now!
