Lets face it Buddy Lazier only won , because he wasn't good enough to be in the CART series and Tony George needed drivers for his inaugural IRL INDY 500.

OK I get Eddie Cheever Jr isn't exactly a fan favorite, but the guys a legitimate race car driver. Back in 1990 he won the Indy 500 Rookie of the Year finishing 8th. He also raced in 132 Formula One Grand Prix events.

Look like some people are angry at Juan Pablo Montoya lets remember he won the 1999 CART DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP and then wnt on to F1 where he won in Monaco (2003) and finished 3rd in the drivers championship.

For hotels I would do something as close as possible cause Indy is a different place to get around. Also Seating i would sit somewhere on the front stretch since you cant see the hole track anywhere. I sat in the infield and it was great. Also the day of the race is long. Wake up and be out of your hotel at least at 6 am because its a major traffic jam. Imagine almost half a million people going into an area that's a couple of square miles. Take your walking shoes cause you may want to park further away from the race track. I had to park at least a mile and a half away from the track.

Nothing to add here ... it's gotta be either Cheever or Lazier.

Maybe we could have the two of them fight to the death for the title. We might even get lucky enough to end in a draw.
