Of course the sinner would be the rapist. It's true that a stigma comes with woman who is raped. Society seems to want to blame the woman, instead of putting the blame where it belongs. I think the reason society does this is because they don't want to admit that it could happen to THEM. Instead, they want to say that the victim was raped because she was drunk, or because of the way she acted, or because of the way she dressed, or because she was walking down a bad street alone, or because she wasn't a virgin, or WHATEVER.
Rape is the ONLY crime in which people try to place the blame on the victim. I experienced this after I was assaulted myself. Several people tried to place the blame on ME. Even now, when I decide to tell people what happened (which I don't normally do in everyday conversation), they ask me what I was wearing, how drunk I was, et cetera et cetera. That's when I tell them that I was wearing baggy khakis, sandals, a tank top (which couldn't be seen because I was wearing a hoodie over it), no make-up, and I still smelled like bleach from work that day. And I wasn't too drunk to say NO.
I keep wondering when ALL people will ever place the blame on the perpetrator instead of the victim, when ALL people will admit that it could happen to ANYONE, regardless of how attractive or unattractive they are, regardless of whether they're dressed provocatively or not, and regardless of whether they're drunk or sober.
Rape is NOT about sex. It's about violence, and being able to dominate someone against their will.
I did lose a few friends afterwards, and most members of my family still don't know about it. But that's fine. I'm content keeping it a secret.
I hope this answers your question.

How can the girl be the sinner when it was not her fault? She didn't ask the rapist to rape her, and she certainly did not enjoy it. I have no idea what you are talking about by the way. I have never heard of a girl or woman being looked at BADLY because she is raped, and i have never heard of a man refusing to marry her because of this. She may have a hard time with a relationship because of the internal scars she has suffered as a result of the rape. As far as her family goes, that is their own problem if they can't support her and help her through this extremely tough time in her life.

Well the problem with our society is that it treats women as sex objects and not with minds and desires of their own. They are expected to be virgins till they get married and if the virginity is lost she is blamed.Just like most of the people would not buy a bottle/cd with a broken seal similarly most of the people in the developing nations won't want to marry a raped girl.Well a lot of them won't mind sleeping with her just like a person may take a bottle/cd with broken seal if given free.Actually most of the answerers are western people so they won't understand asian women's problems. To protect the honour of the family a girl sometimes has to marry her rapist though she may be a minor. The most important point which even the questioner has not mentioned is that a girl will not get sympathy if she is raped by her husband since she is considered to be her husband's rightful sexobject. Atleast she will get some sympathy if she is raped by other than her husband!

Both rapist and the society are sinners., including the girl's family.
The rapist is like a wild animal. he physically abuses an innocent girl. But the society? They collectively kill a living girl without any remorse or guilt. They make her a mental wreck. worst of all, how can the family be so insensitive?
You have asked a v. good question. the sad part is , there is no good answer.

There are various reasons for rape. Vengeance, provocative clothing, teasing, flirting, etc.,
It may not be entirely the fault of the girl that she is raped. But our society is such that whether a thorn falls on a leaf or a leaf falls on a thorn, it is the leaf that gets punctured. Same is the case with the girl. Society looks at the girl like that. Its a wierd and warped society. Unfortunately, govt doesn't help much. And the various NGOs who are working for the upliftment of women, hardly take interest in such families. Its very rare that NGOs support such families. Its high time that Govt changes its rules and looks at the victim in a more considerate way. Then only our society will start looking at the girl in a different perspective.

someone who's a sufferer of a violent crime which comprise a rape isn't a prepared participant interior the act, that's technically intercourse. God is nicely conscious that the sufferer had no administration over what grew to become into going on and that the act grew to become into neither planned or prepared on the sufferer's section. God isn't unreasonable or unjust that he could punish somebody victimized in this sort of style. on the different hand, we are ALL imperfect and ALL sinners in one way or yet another, yet interior the example of rape, that's no longer the comparable element as one going out and dozing with human beings they are no longer married to.

for a complete clarification to your above all Qs,I recommend you to see three movies-*Sila nerangalil sila manithargal *Priyanka [both in Tamil] and a hindi movie 'Insaf ka tharasu'[I'm not sure if it
is the title;the maiden venture of Padmini Kholapuri] At least, a few
drops will roll out from your eyes in the scenes where the victims are asked very personal Qs in the guise of cross examination. An
answerer has quoted a religious reference regarding 'screaming',
well replied by another. During that action, all the girls will not be able to scream;many will even lose their speech and become dumb. There are certain agonies, both mental and physical, which
are easier told than felt. This is one of those unfortunate incidents. Please ignore the references made to theTamil movies if you do not know the language.

Were I'm at if a girl is rapped she's not looked down at, shes actually looked at as brave and strong. and of course I think the rappist is a sinner in a religious fashion, but not the girl. My grandma used to say that a girl who is raped and gets pregnant wasnt really raped cuz you have to enjoy it to get pregnant. lol old people with some wacky ideas. lol

Rape is a forcible sexual offence on the girl. The girl is not responsible for the act. Hence, she is not a sinner. All societies consider the rapist as the sinner.

Obvio the ******* (Rapist) is to blame COMPLETELY.
And now in response to a statement made by gorgeoustxwoman "If a woman had been raped, you would not marry her? Another reason Islam is not a religion that women should desire to be a part of."
Well are you STUPID? Where does Islam come in the picture here? Why dont you stop being a retard and simply stick to the topic instead of giving your dumb views?
