Probably becouse fatty matter may block movement of neurons and other messages to and from brain. The brain depends upon glucose becouse it can give instant energy as needed for its functioning.

First of all the blood brain barrier blocks most of the fatty acids, except the essential ones because they are needed for the growth and development of the neuroglial cells and the neurons also.
Secondly, Fats have respiratory quotient less than glucose i.e. unity. hence fats liberate energy at a much slower rate than glucose and as brain works very fast thus it requires energy readily.
Hope u get it
thank u.

If your friend is showing signs that she may have the swine flu ( coughing, high fever, sore thought) it is best to take precautions. If I were you I would try not to be around her in till she gets checked out by a doctor. If you must be around her and she does have it, make sure to wear a mask. Also drink plenty of water and eat a lot fruits and veggies, get a lot of sleep, and exercise. This will help build your immune system up and prevent you from getting sick. Remember to wash your hands with soap and water for thirty seconds regularly to kill any bacteria.

the blood brain barrier is set up to keep toxins from reaching the brain. glucose and some keytones can easily get in (as well as some drugs), but other things are stopped because their lipophilicity isn't just right. it's the main reason drug development for neurological diseases is so hard. you might have something that works, but unless you can get it where it needs to be it's useless.

because fatty acids distributed in the brain are bound to albumin so they are not available for energy generation, also amino acids are not used in ATP production because neurons are incapable of gluconeogenesis
