With videos, both will record at VGA quality at best, which is just 640x480 pixels, i.e. just 0.3 megapixel. So they're probably equal in that department. (It doesn't matter that the camera has 7 megapixels for still pictures - it only uses 0.3 for video.) Check if the phone can even do 640x480... it might be lower.
The next most important is the frame rate. You'll want 24 or more frames per second for good playback. Most cameras can deliver this. I'm not so sure about phones.
For the rest, the camera will have a better lens and some extra features, so on the whole I'd rather use the camera.... but really, they're both terrible compared to a proper video camera.

Even the 7 mpxl digital camera doesn't take videos for the whole of 7 mpxls(they take only stills at 7 mpxl)........just think about this- a decent video taking rate is 15 frames per second.....if the camera takes videos at 7mpxl- 15fps..even a 3 second video will have 45 frames and will occupy 150mb(approx).........even common movie cameras have only a 3ccd sensor(equated to 3mpxl).....but, the digicam's video quality is better because of the sensor's size which is much much larger than your mobile camera's sensor size.........the dslrs have bigger sensors though....hope this helps

The bigger the pixels...the better quality photo's and vids....but the 7 pixel one will probably cost you more. But if the price isnt that much dearer go for the 7 pixel one - be alot clearer!

500000 pixels....the quality on the 7 mega pixel camera will give you better resolution, which therefore give a clearer, more crisp image.
