I just noticed that my neighbor across the parking lot was on the phone with someone giving them the blow by blow of what I was doing. My apartment isn't directly across from hers but my garage is. It's not unusual for me to be in and out of my garage as late as 12:30am on Monday morning because I have big yard sales on Sunday that take much time to clean up. However there has never been a complaint and I am very quiet and respectful. She does not know that I heard her on the phone. What I over heard was, "Now she's bringing things out of the garage..." I want to write her a note telling her off but maybe there is a better way to handle the situation what do you suggest?

Over the next few days write a blow by blow perspective itenarary of what you will be doing the next Sunday.. On Saturday Night put it in an envelope and attach it to her door so she will find it first thing Sunday morning..

Enclose a note reading.

Dear ______,

As you seem interested in how I spend my Sunday I have enclosed a perspective itenerary so you are not forced to watch out your windows while talking on the phone in order to share my activities with others..

I hope this helps free up some of your time so you can indulge in another more productive hobby.

Sincerely,
________

The note will let her know that you overheard her conversation and will hopefully embarrass her into minding her own business without having to get nasty...

I'd just ignore her and continue doing what I was doing. If it's a problem to her, she should be diplomatic enough to approach you about any noise you might be making. I'm only assuming that is why she's talking on the phone about you.

Or, if you have yard sales every Sunday and your complex knows about it, still don't worry about it unless they notify you of a complaint. But if you aren't doing anything wrong or against policy, it's none of her business.

I see no problem with it but obviously you have a problem.

Next time you hear her do that, start doing weird things.

Like start an argument with a stuffed animal or yard statue. Act like they sass you back.

Dance with your stuffed animals.

Look over at her and wave.

Unless she does that often I wouldn't worry about it, perhaps she was just killing time on the phone waiting for someone on the other end to get home so she could talk to them?

"If you want someone to know everything I do, just give me their phone number and I'll tell them myself. You must have better things to do with your time."
