i don't believe so but u can get info at social security site. my son gets ssi and we dont even fill it in on tax forms cause there is no place for it.

No, there's no need to file. One exception for tax year 2006: If you qualify for the phone tax rebate, file a Form 1040 EZ-PC to claim that if you don't otherwise need to file.

SSI isn't taxable, so if that's your only income, then you don't have to file.
