Crates do help with house training, but she can't be stuck in there 24/7. The best thing you can do is set a routine...feed her at the same times and take her out at the same times (unless she's giving cues she has to go at other times, sniffing & circling, for example).

Well, what I would say it to get little soft treats and break them up into little pieces, and kind of lure her into the cage. Then when she is in there, close the door and turn around in the oposite direction for about 30 seconds, then turn back around and give the puppy a treat as encouragement to be good. Do this a few times and then increase the time you have your back turned to the cage. Of course still rewarding until the dog is comfortable in the cage by its self. And also start to walk away after a while, just into another room, then return and reward. Plus, whenever you do let the pup out to go potty, just pet her and then take her straight outside. When she is through reward her and then you two can play. Be sure to continually reward the puppy whenever she does something right right stays in her cage w/o crying or going potty outside. If you need more help you can then go and ask a trainer like at petsmart and they should be able to help with futher problems or questions. Good luck and God Bless!

How often do you keep her in a cage? I hope for not more then a couple hours at a time. How often do you take her out? She shouldn't be always pooping/peeing in the house if you take her out every 1/2-1 hour. You need to not keep your dog locked up or your asking for an aggresive, unsocialized, scared dog. You just need to work on the house training, that is a must. You should of done more research before getting a dog, just like human babies- they make mistakes.

I have heard that if you take a puppy outside EVERY hour for 24 hours, they will very quickly learn to be housebroken. If you are young you might not be able to do this, but if you can, pick a weekend and just plan on staying up all night. Maybe even have a sleep over so your friends can help you?
Crate training a puppy is a GOOD thing. Puppies learn to feel safe and secure in their own little den. I'm not an expert, but I bet someone here could tell you how to do it.
Good luck!

Some dogs are more naturally neurotic than others and feel they are being abandoned when in a cage overnight. The dog needs some good training so it might help to get some help from a professional trainer.

by keeping her in cage she will learn - dogs don't poop and pee where they eat (cage)
to train be very consistent - take her out to poop and pee at the same time each day. feed her and water her before you desire she go out. once she learns, she will even enjoy the cage. keep cage clean and dry
