well it sometimes takes a while for the swelling to go down it also depends on the age of the dog, if he was older he could have a scrotal sack permanently. The scrotum can be removed by another surgery called a scrotal-ablation if you like you vet can preform this surgery if necessary.

When an older dogs is neutered the sack can have some swelling, it can take upto a month for the swelling to go down. It will eventually shrivel up and not be as saggy, I'm not aware of cosmetic surgery being performed on dogs.

If he is an older dog it takes alot of time for it eventually to go away, on younger dogs since their balls are smaller the sac shrinks faster. It may not 100% go away- there may always be a little bit there but yes it will go away, but give it a a few months geez!

Yes, it will go away.
I was startled too, when I had my dog fixed. I didn't expect the sheath to still be there! He was a year old when I got him neutered. It took some time but eventually the sac totally disappeared.
Give your dog a pat for me!

The "sack" does not go away...just the contents that are inside it. If you get a dog neutered at a young age, before gravity takes effect, the "sack" is hardly noticeable at all. If you wait a while, well, it's definitely noticeable. I haven't heard of a vet doing cosmetic surgery for this purpose, but who knows, maybe there's one out there.

What do you mean, removed with another surgery?
The operation is a one shot deal, no other ones.
Do you mean the testicles? The testicles are removed when they are fixed. I don't really understand why it would be aggravating you, I mean you don't really have to look at it all day.

What the heck.. Why are you worried about that.. It'll disappear eventually.. And don't get surgery to have it removed.. Forget about it, and quit staring at it.
