Rat Terriers will follow most quarry to ground. But, unlike the Jack Russell Terrier, Fox Terrier and other traditional Earthdog breeds, Rat Terriers are more suited for trailing, flushing and treeing game or birds, and hunting hares, rabbit or other varmint that usually give a much faster, longer and straighter run.

My grandson named our dogs. The Rat Terrier he named Bear. The Beagle is Snoopy and the Pitt is Honey. Go figure.

Good choice - I'm not a huge fan of the foo foo names. haha I personally like the names Skyler, Tristan, Jaden, and Ryder.

I'm with you; I've always named my pets with human names. I find getting a baby book helps. They say any name with an "ie" sound at the end is best.
