my brother marrie a gal without our notice even after our rejection of that gal, she is too selfish and she forced my brother to leave house with our sick mom even she cannot walk as she is too week and sick , i m married and i have 5 year baby i cant daily come to lookafter her can u tell me what can i do for my mom and what she should do for my brother, there is no one at home now with my mom to take care of her

wow this is sad..What you can do is try to make it over to your
mom and help her as much as you possible can. It may be hard and you may not be able to take much of it but atleast
you can say you tried. About your mom, what she needs to do
is try to make it as long as she can. You brother will eventually learn that family should always come first!

What I can make out from your question that you are daughter of this poor sick lady whose son i.e. your brother left unattended in such a situation. Now legally maximum what your mother can do at the moment is to claim maintenance from him under section 125 of the criminal procedure code. The central government had purposed an bill for the benefit of the aged parents that will help them to claim all the old age benefits from the children & in absence of their ignorance they will loose the right of inheritance from the properties of the parents along with punishment that can place them behind the bars, but this bill has not yet got passed or accent of the President of India till now so it is not an Act hence cannot be enforced. I suggest you either keep her with you at your home or put her in some decent old home where her proper medical & physical care can be taken care off by medical & paramedical professionals. I know it will be a financial burden on you both ways but dear child the blessing of your mother will be the greatest gift you'll get that you will realize when you grow old & all you children will be there next to you giving you all care, love & affection.

Well I am gonna answer point by point.

You said that he married without notice and your approval, well that should not be a problem. He thought someone as soulmate and so he decided to marry her.

Now comes the question of leaving the mom, well this is sad. But could it be because the boy's married life was being spoiled by your mom or you. What I want to say is that its not fair to pin point the girl for this situation. It might be that the problem occured due to a mix of issues. But lets leave this point aside, we are not here to decide who is right or who is wrong.

For taking care of mom, I will suggest either you bring her to your home or have somebody look after her. Its no use right now going to your brother and complaining as he might not be ready to listen.

As time passes by try to be friends with your brother and his wife, and I hope things will improve and your mom might get the respect and place she deserves in her house!

OK, I don't want to sound harsh when I say this, but your brother has a life outside of his mom whether she is sick or not, and he has the right to be with whom he chooses to be with and doesn't need any ones approval. If you can't take care of your mom hire a home care taker, or put her in a comfortable home. Its not right that your brother walked out on her, but that is probably the reason he left because you two are trying to control him and who he wants to be with. No one can make your brother do anything that he doesn't want, so stop crying over what he is doing and focus on you and your mom, do whats right now that you are in control of the situation and that is to either put her in a home where she can be looked after 24 hours of the day or hire someone to come into the home.

This happens quite often and people get disturbed. Look at the brighter side, if your brother and wife had stayed back with ur mom, it would be more trouble than help.
Now atleast you can plan for her health, as others have suggested do get a nurse or get her admited to hospital for few days if needed. Let me know if u need any help , i stay in bangalore, india.

I presume, you are the daughter and like a normal Indian you too feel that the parents are to be taken care of by the sons just because of the reasons that we have a tradition that after marriage of the daughter, parents cannot stay dependent upon them.

But the situation now demands that you should take care of your mother. You are required to convince your husband as well as your mother before actually deciding on that.

you could ask another relative to look after her. yell at your brother and tell him exactly how you feel. get a nurse or hire someone to look after your mum. or you can move into your mother's house until she gets better if you can not get anyone else to look after her.
