If you haven't had any problems, then don't worry. I love Pantene conditioners. I have to use H & S because I have dandruff, otherwise I'd use Pantene shampoo too.
Many conditioners & hair styling products can leave residue. I use Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo every 1-2 weeks as a clarifying shampoo.

I read in a hair magazine that , you should switch your shampoos and conditioners, every time you go to buy more, I do it and my hair never gets buildup, every brand has something different in it, and gives you hair alot of different
nutrition...try it for a while, and if you don't like doing it that way, then just switch you shampoo& C. to Aussie Products they work real good, (at build up too).. i haven't heard anything on Pantene, doing that, if it is true then i wouldn't use it anymore.. good luck..

pantene is okay for your hair..the thing is once you start using it..you can't really switch to other shampoos..so if you like what pantene does for you hair keep using it.. I personally don't like aussie......
well you can do a few treatments...
1.......heat up some olive oil, put everywhere in your hair, wrap with plastic wrap (keep a towel around your neck it's drippy sometimes, and that's also what the plastic wrap is for).....and leave in for an hour, and then go wash out with whatever shampoo you want, and make sure you condition, you may have to wash with shampoo twice to make sure...
I do this every other week to keep my hair color, shiny, clean, and healthy....
2.......do the same thing with coconut oil as well
3........go to a salon, and steam your hair, all of my friends do that once a week

Hmm...I don't think Pantene is all that bad. I use it, and my hair is just fine, well, I mix my shampoo up. For a few days I'll use Pantene then switch to another brand. Any shampoo will build up if over used.

I don't think pantene is bad for your hair... but its possible that if you have buildup in your hair, you've only been using the moisturising shampoos, you should use their clarifying shampoo.

It's not true that all shampoos leave silicone build-up. They don't *all* have silicone in the first place.
Yes, as recommended, a "clarifying" shampoo. Then stop over-conditioning with silicone-based products. Occasional use seems to be OK, but, if there are problems, then it's obvious that whatever has been used too frequently.

as jhart stated change your shampoo with each time you run out , my beautician told me that trick llong ago . it does work and the plus is one gets to try different brands for smell and performence then you just rotate your favorite brands in more often . btw my hair is almost to my rear
