Lived there for seven years - left there 27 years ago.

The only one that I can think of is New Year's day - and Christmas on Dec. 25 (more religious holiday).

Gift giving and similar celebration as had in the United States is during the Feast of the Epiphany in January - which I know some Americans of Italian background still practice.
