I wouldn't think God would do something to you that you wouldn't remember, so you really have to know whether things are of God or something else.

What you experienced, hopefully, was being "Slain in the Spirit" where a sense of great peace overcomes you and you can't even stand up if you wanted to. You can discern whether it is of God or not by the feeling you get afterwards. If it confuses you and causes depression, disregard it. If you feel as if you're on drugs for two weeks afterwards, and you can't get the lovely feeling out of your mind, it is of the Holy One. It is much like falling in love. It will seem as if your body cannot contain your soul. There will also be other sources of confirmation that are in agreement, one coming from scripture or a holy work. Amen, little one.

Trust the explanation of NO man and especially not Yahoo answer people who would try to discount what you experienced!! Only YOU know for sure what you experienced and only YOU can tell "deep inside yourself" if what you experienced was real and true or not.
Remember that the Apostole Paul was on his way to persecute the Christians when he was STRUCK DOWN by God and saw a blinding light..........
God does know how to get our attentions! He got yours didn't he?
Ask yourself this question: "Was what I felt REAL?".
"Seek out your own salvation with fear and trembling" is what the Good Book says..........
Let God be true and every man a LIAR (that is another direct Bible quote).

The New Testament is very clear that anything that God is not the author of confusion.
I was involved in the Pentecostal movement for many years, and can tell you that it is not of God.
If you want more info, PLEASE email me. I can tell you a lot from experience, and I will use the Bible, not opinion, to back it up.

It's called being slain in the spirit and I don't fully understand how it works, but here is a search that might help you.
