Find out where their honeymoon is and book them a spa treatment or a meal at a nice restaurant. Offer to upgrade their airfare to first class or business class.
There is always getting a gift card, or just sending cash/check so they can use it as they wish.

I received a lovely wedding invitation recently. This may help your dilemna:
"More than just kisses so far we've shared,
Our home has been made
with love and care,
Most things we need we've already got,
And in our home we can't fit a lot!
A wishing well we thought would be great,
(But only if you wish to participate),
A gift of money is placed in the well,
Then make a wish...but shhh don't tell!
Once we've replaced the old with the new,
We can look back and say
it was thanks to you!
And in return for your kindness,
we're sure
That one day soon
you will get what you wished for"
Another great thing you can do is donate gifts to a charity on their behalf. Like, http://www.globalgiving.com/gifts/index.html
With a decent donation (say, $100) you will be able to buy a lot.
If you know the couple are going on honeymoon then you can organise some nice treats for their honeymoon. For instance, a nice dinner or spa treatment or one their activities (eg: try scuba diving).

Maybe something like towels that you can always use. I'm on my 2nd marriage also and I know that things like dishes are always nice, cuz there are things from my 1st marriage that I would prefer not to use with my new husband. Possibly something like a personalized throw for the couch with their initials or last name, date of marriage would be nice.... Or if you are looking for something cheaper, try a wedding picture album.... We always have plenty of pictures. Money always works too, bills come all the time.

Maybe a gift card to a home improvement store or a home decorating store if they aren't already living together, then they'll probably have changes to make when they move in together for the first time.
If they are already living together, then maybe a gift card to a restaurant or something like that.

A gift I always remembered from my wedding was something any bride can use, even on the 2nd. or 3rd. marriage. It was a beautiful quilt, a box of bandaids and a manual can opener. At one time or the other they will all get used.

money, no longer the rest. once you're married the 2d time around, you're as a rule older, you have each and everything and your wedding ceremony reception is constrained to family contributors and a few close friends. people who get married the 2d time around frequently pay for the whole wedding ceremony reception consisting of wine. a marriage present ought to be adequate to conceal a minimum of the fee of your meal+wine, plus a touch left over for the groom& bride. i could say $one hundred a pair, cheque or money, could be a sturdy present.

Gift certificates to a nice dinner or movie. It may be a little cheap though. Also if you have any nice pictures, blow em up and frame them. Or a romantic spa day package...something along those lines, not some thing materialistic. Give them a memory, a day they wont forget....not another blender!!!LOL
